Choose the right form
- Ayer trabajé y cené con Ana.“I worked” is the yo form: -ar verbs end in -é, trabajé.
- Ayer trabajé y cené con Ana.Still “I” (yo): cenar → cené, with the accent on the é.
- Anoche comí en casa de Luis.“I ate”: -er and -ir verbs end in -í in the yo form, comí.
- Uno, dos, tres: hablé, comí.“I talked” is hablé. Habló, with -ó, is “he talked”.
- Comer, comí, comió, beber, bebí, bebió.“He ate”: -er and -ir verbs end in -ió in the él form, comió, like bebió.
- Llegar, llegué, llegó, buscar, busqué, buscó.In yo the g becomes gu before the é, so it keeps its sound: llegué.
- Empezar, empecé, empezó.In yo the z becomes c before the é: empecé. Él keeps the z: empezó.
